Were the Magnum III's and IV's set neck or neck through? Maybe this one was a factory special. I've never seen one that was not a bolt on neck. I guess that is actually a Magnum IV bass. I can't say I'm a big Journey fan, but Escape has some great bass playing on it. Sounds like he used the back pickup only for most of the record. It is a great tone and nice to know it was with a Magnum III. I always wondered what bass Valory used on Escape.
